We worked several years off and on shooting our film, Water Makes Us Wet. Suddenly we had an opportunity to premiere it at documenta 14. So the two of us, along with our editors Keith Wilson and Jordan Freeman, worked day and night for a month to finish it on time. We just made it. So the world premiere of our film Water Makes Us Wet screened Sept 6, 2017 in the plush, 1950s era moss-green jewel box theater, Gloria Kino, to a wonderful international documenta 14 audience. We requested a blue carpet (for water) runway into the theater, and a water bar with free water infused with fruits or cucumber slices in nice glasses, and documenta 14 delivered. Our new film was very well received, and we held a Q & A with curator Paul B. Preciado on stage. Many of our friends and collaborators were there, including King Erik, Mamita, Jordan Freeman, Guillermo Gómez-Peña, and Balitronica, Dieter Jarzombec, Luke Dixon, and many others from all corners of the globe. This film premiere was a fairy tale ending to all of the hard work we did for and at documenta 14. We got to express ourselves freely and in a big, fabulous way while we mingled with some of the coolest artists and arts producers. documenta surpassed our wildest dreams.
