While at documenta 14 we gathered lots of photos of our great adventures and with our beloved and talented friends who joined us there from all corners. We are planning to add more photos to this page at a later date and to write about some of these moments. Meanwhile, some of what you are seeing is… us with schmoozing for a moment with the President of Germany—Frank-Walter Steinmeier, also we are signing the shirt of an autograph seeker that gets all the artists to sign her shirt (very fun.) Beth’s old friend, gallerist Bill Arning with his lovely long beard. One night we got to go to Peach’s rock concert. She’s one of our favorite artists ever. Her partner Black Cracker also did a great show. Then we got to sip champagne with them and their entourage in Peaches dressing room. Annie’s friends came from Refugium, a spiritual center near Hamburg run by Dieter Jarzombec. Peter, an Episcopal priest friend of Annie arrived and our two hearts cracked open. Curator Paul B. Preciado posed with us in our Neue Gallery exhibition. One night we went to an all-you-can-eat Chinese food buffet with 14 friends, including artist and post porn star, Sadie Lune, opera singer Emma McNairy, and our director and friend Joy Brooke Fairfield. The silver plaque, 7000 Eichen marks where one of our favorite art pieces is, 7000 Oaks, where 7000 oak trees were planted all around Kassel by Joseph Beuys as art. Beuys was a documenta artist.
